§ Mr. George Howarth
To ask the Secretary of State for Health what recent research his Department has(a) commissioned and (b) published on the relationship between maternity and paediatric care. [41405]

The Department has not commissioned any such research. The maternity and neonatal work force group (MNWG) that was set up last year is considering the best models for providing maternity and neonatal care based on existing evidence.
