There are currently 2 special advisers.1

Under the terms of the Ministerial Code, Cabinet Ministers may each appoint up to two Special Advisers.1 1Details of costs for Special Advisers within the individual departments are not given, in order to protect the privacy of the small number of individuals concerned.
