To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what proportion of food produced in the UK was sold to British consumers in(a)1997 and (b)2001. [46626]

§ Mr. Morley
The proportion of food produced in the UK and sold to British consumers was around 87 per cent. in both 1997 and 2001.
