As National Statistician, I have been asked to reply to your question about the proportion of private sector employees and of all employees who are due to retire within the next 5, 10 and 15 years (10459).The Labour Force Survey (LFS) can provide estimates of the numbers and proportions of private sector employees, and those of all employees, who are due to reach state retirement age in the next 5, 10 and 15 years. That is, men aged 60–64, 55–64 and 50–64 and women aged 55–59, 50–59 and 45–59 respectively. These are given in the tables below.The LFS does not collect information on the retirement intentions of individuals.
