asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the recommendations made in the Rural White Paper will be supported by the findings of the Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food chaired by Sir Don Curry. [HL879]

Lord Whitty

The independent Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food has been asked to report by the end of the year. We do not know what it will recommend.

The Policy Commission on Food and Farming intends to report by 31 December. Once the independent Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food has reported, we will want to give careful consideration to the recommendations and respond as soon as possible.
