To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many children aged under 18 years were received into prison custody on remand and under sentence between(a) April 1999 and April 2000 and (b) April 2000 and April 2001. [7935]

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department in each month since the introduction of the detention and training order on 1 April 2000 how many young people have received orders of(a) four months, (b) six months, (c) eight months, (d) 10 months, (e) 12 months, (f) 18 months and (g) 24 months broken down by age and gender.
