§ Dawn PrimaroloThe Inland Revenue is working with the Department of Health and a number of organisations representing foster carers to design a fair and simple method by which foster carers can calculate their reward element by reference to standard, agreed, expenses. Alternatively, carers would be able to claim actual expenses. The Revenue hopes to be able to introduce the new arrangements for the tax year commencing 6 April 2002.
