HC Deb 04 October 2001 vol 372 c796W
Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received concerning the working conditions of police inspectors and chief inspectors; what measures he plans to introduce to address the concerns raised; and if he will make a statement. [5203]

Mr. Denham

Decisions relating to the number of officers and the rank in which they are employed, together with assessing and addressing health and safety issues, are matters for chief officers.
