To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions when his Department applied for Investors in People; and if it has achieved it(a) in whole and (b) in part. [14857]

[holding answer 14 November 2001]: The Department for Work and Pensions is fully committed to Investors in People and is continuing to maintain the standard.

All constituent parts of the Department are currently recognised as Investors in People. Officials are in discussion with Investors in People(UK), to agree a strategy for the future corporate recognition of the Department.
