§ Ms HodgeI have on behalf of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, written to the Chairman of Remploy approving the 2001–02 Annual Performance Agreement between the Department and the company. This agreement covers the year from 1 April 2001. It has been negotiated by the Chief Executive of the Employment Service on behalf of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Education and Employment. The targets are
the average number of progressions of disabled people will increase to 1,800, including a minimum of 700 to mainstream employment;Remploy Ltd. will maintain a total unit cost target (operating deficit per disabled worker) of £9,250;the company will achieve gross margin of £57 million;non-productive time (excluding time spent on formal training) will be a maximum of 25 per cent.the company will not exceed its external financing limit of £99.16 million.The text of the Annual Performance Agreement is contained in the table.
