To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what estimate he has made of(a) the number and (b) the proportion of taxpayers in 2000–01 who have income tax liabilities from (i) dividends income and (ii) savings income; and what the mean and median of liabilities are; [149606]

(2) what estimate he has made of (a) the number of people in 2000–01 who have income tax liabilities from dividends income of less than £50 and (b) the number and proportion of taxpayers who do not have liability to income tax from dividends income; and if he will make a statement; [149604]

(3) what estimate he has made of the (a) number of people in 2000–01 who have income tax liabilities from savings income of loss than £50 and (b) the number and proportion of taxpayers who do not have liability to income tax from savings income; and if he will make a statement. [149605]
