§ Yvette CooperDetailed discussions took place between the Department of Health, the Department of Trade and Industry, other Government Departments and United Kingdom Chief Medical Officers throughout the process of developing the leaflet. A number of drafts were discussed as is customary in situations where it is necessary to identify the best way to put complex scientific issues into plain English. The CMOs' intention to provide clear advice to parents over children using mobile phones was paramount throughout. The final version was signed off by all four CMOs after agreement between them.
