§ Mr. WilsonThe Foreign and Commonwealth Office has not assessed and does not assess claims prior to their transmission to the UN Compensation Commission. However, as the FCO was aware that the Commission had set a number of basic conditions that had to be met before claims could be accepted, claims were checked prior to dispatch to ensure that they met the known conditions.
