§ Lord Lester of Herne Hill
asked Her Majesty's Government:
In what other European countries are the fares for metropolitan underground rail transport equal to or greater than those charged for travel by metropolitan underground rail transport in London. [HL462]
§ Lord Falconer of Thoroton
Direct comparisons of fares between European cities are not possible. A number of factors including the varying location, length and frequency of journeys, travel concessions 167WA offered and wider geographic and demographic differences make any meaningful comparison difficult.
