To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what progress he has made in arranging for exemption from stamp duty in designated disadvantaged areas; when he plans to publish the list of qualifying areas; and if he will make a statement. [5310]

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he plans to publish a list of deprived areas which will qualify for stamp duty reductions announced in the Budget. [5941]

§ Mr. Boateng
The Government have been working closely with the devolved authorities to determine how best to target the relief. The qualifying areas will be announced as soon as possible.
