To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what discussions he has had with the Sports Council for Wales about encouraging artistic and sporting talent in Wales. [146534]

I have met the Chairman of the Sports Council for Wales to discuss general issues affecting sport in Wales.

Wales has an excellent record of achievements in many activities, and I am keen to encourage opportunities for all people to take part in sport within the community.
