Standards of Conduct in the House of Lords

asked the Leader of the House:

What steps she has taken to take forward the recommendations contained in the 7th Report from the Committee on Standards in Public Life, Standards of Conduct in the House of Lords (Cm 4903). [HL377]

As I have previously made clear, it will be for the House to decide how to proceed with the recommendations contained in the Report on Standards of Conduct in the House of Lords. In order to assist the process, I have asked my noble friend the Attorney General to chair a working group to report to me within three months, and to make recommendations.

The members of the working group will be Lord Archer of Sandwell, Lord Elton, Baroness Hamwee, Lord Kingsland, Lord Williams of Mostyn and Lord Wright of Richmond.
