The table provided shows the total number of police officer working days lost in 1999–2000 due to long-term sick leave for forces in England and Wales; and the number of officers on long-term sick leave as at 31 March 2000. The table is based on information provided by forces to Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary.
