To ask the Secretary of State for International Development if she will make a statement on efforts to combat poverty in the west bank and Gaza strip. [147651]

Britain is providing £25 million of assistance to the Palestinian Authority to help reduce poverty and build an accountable, democratic government. However, continuing Israeli closures are causing widespread hardship, economic decline and delays to humanitarian aid.
