To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how much the New Millennium Experience Company owes to creditors. [147782]

[holding answer 30 January 2001]: As at 31 January 2001 the New Millennium Experience Company (NMEC) owed its creditors £2.1 million. NMEC is discharging these debts as they become due.

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport by what date all the debts of the New Millennium Experience Company will be discharged. [147783]

[holding answer 30 January 2001]: Debts are discharged as they become due. All debts will be discharged prior to the New Millennium Experience Company (NMEC) undergoing solvent liquidation. It is not possible at this stage to give a definitive date on which that will be achieved.

[holding answer 1 February 20011: The value of contractual arrangements between the New Millennium Experience Company (NMEC) and the companies named were each in excess of £1 million. These encompassed cash payments and value-in-kind to NMEC and non-cash benefits, deriving from their sponsorship association with the Millennium Experience at the Dome and its associated National Programme, to the companies concerned.
