To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he intends to vary the GLA transport grant for 2000–01. [148756]

§ Mr. Hill
GLA transport grant is paid to the Greater London Authority under section 101 of the GLA Act 1999 for the purposes of Transport for London. I have today, with the consent of HM Treasury, decided to vary the level of grant for 2000–01 after consultation with the Mayor of London. The grant is £396,161,000, an increase of £3,421,000 over the original determination.
