§ Mr. Timms[holding answer 17 December 2001]: Her Majesty's Chief Inspector has not provided my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State with any formal advice on the performance of faith schools. I have received from HMCI a draft paper that examines inspection and attainment data on Church of England and Roman Catholic schools for the period 1996–2000. Ofsted regards this paper as work in progress, not yet ready for publication.
