Letter from William Weston to Mr. Tony Colman, dated 30 April 2001: I have been asked by the Secretary of State to reply to your Parliamentary Question about reopening Robin Hood Gate in Richmond Park as this is an operational matter for which I am responsible. We intend to reopen Robin Hood Gate on Wednesday 9th May. We have been refurbishing the gate as part of a planned programme of refurbishment and took the opportunity to carry out the work while the park was closed to traffic. Unfortunately we were unable to complete the work before the park reopened.
