§ Baroness Symons of Vernham DeanThere have been a total of 5,561 summary dealings for the period 1 October 2000–31 March 2001. During this period the Army has received 136 summary jurisdiction appeals. A total of 21 of these appeals have been upheld, 22 have been quashed and 34 have been mitigated. There are a further 19 of these cases still awaiting hearing or the result.
