The Solicitor-GeneralIn 1998 there was one prosecution for offences of incitement to racial hatred under Part III of the Public Order Act 1986—this resulted in a conviction. In 1999 there were five defendants charged—three of these were convicted. There are currently three existing prosecutions involving such offences.
