§ Dr. HowellsThe Fireworks (Safety) Regulations 1997 prohibit the supply of most fireworks to persons under the age of 18 years. The exceptions to this prohibition are low hazard fireworks, ie caps, cracker snaps, novelty matches, party poppers, serpents and throwdowns, which, under the Explosives Act 1875, can be sold only to persons over the age of 16 years.
