§ Jacqui SmithThe Department has not issued guidance on the use of medium density fibreboard in schools. This is because existing legislation covers the use of materials that may be deemed hazardous in certain circumstances. For example, as with any other workplace, schools are bound by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 1989.
