[holding answer 7 November 2000]: The Secretary of State and my right hon. Friend the Minister for Employment, Welfare to Work and Equal Opportunities visited Thurlow Park School on 2 March this year.

In October 2000, officials from the Department for Education and Employment met officers from Lambeth local education authority to discuss the authority's plans for the reorganisation of educational provision for pupils with moderate and complex special educational needs, including the proposed closure of Thurlow Park School.
