§ Ms Estelle MorrisAll schools will be free to use the £290 million extra funding announced in the budget as they see fit. It will therefore be open to them to allocate some of the extra funding to employ peripatetic teachers of the deaf and blind, where they have children who would benefit from such support. Funding is also available under Standards Fund grant 18 to support the training and development of teachers of deaf and blind pupils.
