The Joint Infrastructure Fund (JIF) awarded just over £150 million to 22 universities in Round 1 and £320 million to 27 universities in Round 2.
Headline details for Round 3 will be announced on 4 April 2000. Bids to Round 4 will be considered in November 2000 and bids to Round 5 will be considered in March 2001.
The amounts awarded to each institution in Round 1 are listed in the table. The awards for Round 2 are still subject to negotiation to ensure best price and value for money for the funds approved. Final figures for Round 2 and Round 3 will be available as soon as those negotiations have been completed.
