§ Mr. BattleOver 150,000 refugees have now returned to East Timor. There are no reliable figures for the number remaining in West Timor, but as of 22 March the UN estimated the number at up to 100,000 refugees.
We will continue to press the Indonesian authorities to enable those who wish to return to East Timor to do so safely and speedily.
