§ Mr. BoatengWe have
run a successful 'Break the Chain' campaign specifically against domestic violence;published a joint Home Office/Women's Unit document 'Living without Fear: an integrated approach to tackling violence against women';taken steps to improve the collection of statistics by introducing better definition of what should be counted as a domestic violence incident;announced a specific initiative within the Crime Reduction Programme on violence against women: the major component of this is the provision of at least £4.5 million for the funding of projects to reduce both physical and sexual domestic violence; andissued new guidance to the criminal justice and other agencies that deal with the survivors of domestic violence.
