§ Mr. Chris Smith[holding answer 8 June 2000]It is too early to make a detailed assessment of the impact of the many new lottery-assisted visitor attractions opening all around the UK to mark the millennium. However, the Millennium Commission is undertaking a large-scale Economic Impact Study of these projects. The British Tourist Authority (BTA) will also be analysing the impact of their international Millennium marketing Campaign "Britain—now is the time".
