§ Miss Melanie Johnson[holding answer 12 June 2000]As set out in Articles 99 and 104 of the EC Treaty, the UK once a year submits a Convergence Programme as part of the Stability and Growth Pact. The Chancellor has said we will produce an assessment of the five tests early in the next Parliament.
