§ Mr. StrawIn December 1999, I established a Euro 2000 Co-ordination in Group, involving government agencies, the police and the Football Association. The aim was to ensure that comprehensive and complementary measures were put in place for minimising the risk of disorder involving England supporters during the tournament. The measures taken are outlined in the Home Office report of the Co-ordinating Group's work, a copy of which was placed in the Library on 7 June.
