§ Mrs. Liddell[holding answer 25 May 2000]: A Call for Proposals on the DTI's New and Renewable Energy (NRE) Programme was issued on 17 April 2000. As part of this Call, outline proposals were sought for research and development into fuel cells of all types, and particularly for stationary and transport applications. The Call itself, and guidance for proposers, may be found on the DTI's web pages at www.dti.gov.uk/renewable/renew.htm. The closing submission date for this call was 1 June 2000. Notwithstanding this deadline, potential proposers are welcome to investigate other options for funding research and development projects relevant to fuel cells by contacting the Programme Manager of the DTI's Advanced Fuel Cells Programme (part of the New and Renewable Energy Programme) at ETSU.
