§ Mr. Robin CookOfficials of the Communications-Electronic Security Group (CESG) are in frequent contact with a wide range of US Government officials; most dealings are with direct counterpart organisations and are conducted electronically.
Since 1 January the Director of CESG has attended the following formal meetings: 28–31 January with the US Government's Information Systems Security Organisation (ISSO) in Maryland; 1 February with the US Government's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Maryland; 2–4 May with ISSO in Cheltenham; 17–18 May with ISSO in Maryland and 22–23 May with NIST and ISSO in Maryland.
