§ Mr. MeacherThe statutory consultees for the re-authorisation of the Aldermaston discharges are MAFF, HSE (NII), Thames Water, West Berkshire council and Reading borough council. The Environment Agency has provided copies of their responses to my Department and copies are being placed in the Library.
Approximately 4,000 responses were received by the Agency. These responses are summarised, and some of them are quoted with the consent of the consultees concerned, in the Agency's decision document. I am arranging for copies of that document to be placed in the Library shortly.
