§ Mr. Chris Smith[holding answer 26 June 2000]: I assume the right hon. Member is referring to parliamentary questions where Ministers indicate in their response that they will write to hon. Members. If so, there have been 44 such cases out of a total of 1,044 326W parliamentary questions answered by my Department in the period in question. In 13 of these cases, I undertook to write to the hon. Member in my capacity as Chairman of the Millennium Commission.
