§ Jacqui SmithThe Department is currently collecting information on the number of permanent exclusions in 1998–99 in maintained primary, secondary and special schools. Provisional information will be published in a Statistical First Release in May.
The latest available information on the number of pupils aged 13, 14 and 15 who were permanently excluded from schools in the London and South East Government Office Regions is shown in the following table.
