§ Mr. SpellarCivilian accreditation of military education and training is an important recruiting and retention issue for the armed forces. As such all three Services are working closely with a number of key accreditation and awarding bodies to increase the amount of civilian recognition given to military courses, leading eventually to the award of academic, vocational and professional qualifications.
