§ Dr. PalmerTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what progress has been made in setting homework targets as a feature of parent-teacher co-operation. [94266]
§ Jacqui SmithNational homework guidelines for primary and secondary schools were published in November last year. They include flexible guidance on how much homework and what sort of activities should be set for pupils of different ages. For schools to develop successful homework policies it is clearly important that there is good liaison between teachers and parents, and that parents are given guidance about how to help their children.
