HL Deb 11 November 1999 vol 606 c229WA
Lord Craigmyle

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What are the rules governing the publication of Orders in Council. [HL4623]

The Lord Privy Seal (Baroness Jay of Paddington)

Orders in Council that are also statutory instruments are published by the Stationery Office in the usual way. Copies of all other Orders in Council are available on request from the Privy Council Office, although in the case of orders relating to a chartered body it is the practice to obtain the consent of the body concerned.

A Privy Council Office website is in preparation. Consideration is being given to posting on that website after each Privy Council meeting a list of the orders made and business taken.
