§ Clare ShortMy Department is contributing to the running costs of the South African San Institute (SAS) office in Cape Town, and with the establishment of an office in the Northern Cape to support the San communities located in Schmitsdrift near Kimberley, and throughout the Mier area, near the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park. This will include up to ten full-time staff whose costs are met by the Department for International Development (DFID). Funds are also available for the provision of short term expertise to support the components of the programme of activities in support of the San communities.
