§ Dr. ReidThe Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions is fully aware that the Scotland Office supports the Government's commitment to maintaining, and improving wherever necessary, some of the most stringent aviation safety standards in the510W world. We also support the public/private partnership which will ensure the separation of safety regulation from the provision of air traffic control services. The Government's commitment to the New Scottish Centre at Prestwick is secure through the partnership arrangements.
