Friend, the Home Secretary, is currently considering the recommendation, by the Working Party on Electoral Procedures, that electors should have the option of deciding whether the details that they provide for electoral purposes should be made commercially available. He will take into account representations from organisations that offer credit for house purchase when doing so.
