§ Mr. Byers[holding answer 1 November 1999]: My Department has set out the key performance targets on which it will be judged in its Public Service Agreement—published in the Government White Paper of December 1998, called "Public Services for the Future: Modernisation, Reform, Accountability" (Cm 4181)—and in its Expenditure Plans Reports. The Output and Performance Analysis published in March this year showed the measures of success it will use.
A full list of the targets and target dates for Agencies of this and other Government Departments is published annually in the Next Steps Report and these can also be found in each Agency's Annual Report. Targets for the Executive NDPBs are also published annually in the Executive Non-Departmental Public Bodies Report. Copies of these documents are in the Library of the House.
