Member on 12 January 1999,Official Report, column 189, explained that my Department is undertaking further analysis of the expected effect on traffic of the policies in last year's Transport White Paper—taking into account information from local authorities on what measures they plan to introduce—in order to inform reports under the Road Traffic Reduction (National Targets) Act 1998. The first such report will be published by the end of this year.
