To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on relations with Iran. [74935]

In September last year, my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary and the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mr. Kharrazi, came to an agreement concerning the Rushdie case. We hope that this agreement will provide the basis for further positive developments in the relationship between Iran and the UK.
