To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list the meetings since May 1997 held with representatives of the British defence industry by each of his special advisers. [74642]

[holding answer 4 March 1999]: Both special advisers meet representatives of the British defence industry in the course of their duties. Mr. Bernard Gray has particular responsibilities in relation to defence procurement and industrial policy and is therefore in day-to-day contact with a wide variety of industry representatives.
